Frequently asked questions
What you need to know.
Straightforward answers before your appointment.
01Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed for private physiotherapy. A referral or approval may be required for Medicare care plans, WorkCover, CTP, DVA, NDIS or My Aged Care.
02Are Medicare care-plan appointments bulk billed?
Yes. Eligible patients with an appropriate GP Chronic Condition Management Plan and referral are bulk billed with no gap payment. These were commonly called EPC appointments.
03Can I claim private health insurance?
Yes. Private health rebates may be available depending on your policy, and HICAPS is available for on-the-spot claiming.
04What should I bring to my appointment?
Bring any relevant referral, scans, reports, claim details and a list of medications where appropriate. Wear clothing that allows the injured area to be assessed.
05Do you treat fractures?
Yes. Fracture care may include assessment within physiotherapy scope, casting, splinting, mobility aids and rehabilitation after immobilisation. Medical, imaging or orthopaedic review is arranged when required.
06Do you provide hydrotherapy or home visits?
Hydrotherapy can be arranged within the Campbelltown–Camden region. Home visits may be available by arrangement.
