This guide provides general education and does not diagnose a condition or replace individual medical or physiotherapy assessment.
Start with SIRA
SIRA is the NSW regulator for workers compensation and motor accident insurance. Its website publishes current scheme guidelines, Certificates of Capacity, Allied Health Treatment Request forms, provider rules, fee orders and benefits information.
Use the insurer for claim-specific answers
- Whether the claim is accepted
- Which treatment is approved
- How many sessions are authorised
- Travel reimbursement requirements
- Weekly-payment calculations
- The case manager’s preferred forms and submission method
Current physiotherapy fee orders
SIRA publishes an indexed Workers Compensation Physiotherapy, Chiropractic and Osteopathy Fees Order. Use the latest effective order shown on the SIRA health-provider fees page rather than relying on a copied schedule.
Forms can change
Download certificates and treatment-request forms from the current SIRA page each time they are needed. Saved forms and third-party downloads may become outdated.
When professional advice is needed
The clinic can explain the clinical treatment plan and documents it prepares. Claim disputes, legal rights, exact payment entitlement and review applications may require assistance from the insurer, SIRA, the Independent Review Office or an appropriately qualified adviser.
